Unfortunately, I moved on from the TI-Nspire development scene a while ago and I no longer have time to continue selling and distributing these. Thank you to everyone who has supported my work until now.

TI-Nspire Serial Adapter

This is an unofficial USB serial adapter for connecting to the serial hardware on TI-Nspire calculators.

There have been a few creative designs in the past for an adapter that breaks out the serial pins on the TI-Nspire dock connector. However the homemade, hacked-together nature of these can make it very difficult for others to consistently recreate it or make their own. The reliability of some of these designs can also be very poor - often giving a very flakey serial connection.

This adapter builds upon the work of past designs and overcomes some of the major challenges encounted previously. All elements of this design are capable of being mass-produced easily and uses no obscure parts. The PCB is loaded with properly spaced spring-loaded connectors that consistently make a reliable connection with the pins on the dock connector. A high quality 3D printed enclosure holds the board in place and clamps it firmly onto the calculator's dock connector while also being easy to insert and remove. A USB to serial converter chip is built into the board so no external hardware is required - just plug in a MiniUSB cable and you're ready to go.
